Midtown Basketball Academy is an AAU-certified developmental youth basketball program serving central Austin’s beginning level players. Our whole-game approach develops individual skills and game IQ in a positive environment that brings together players from communities across central Austin.
We combine experienced coaching of team fundamentals with individual skills training to provide a comprehensive learning experience for beginning players.

Matt Armstrong founded Midtown Rulers in 2019 and has been coaching youth basketball for over 7 years
Robert Becker is an Advanced Placement teacher at Anderson High School. He played basketball at Beaumont West Brook High School, where he was selected to the all-district team.
Ian Stonebrook is a volunteer assistant for Midtown Rulers who has coached youth and middle school basketball over the course of the last decade. He works as a writer in the sports business space for Boardroom.
