Midtown Rulers Youth Basketball is an AAU-certified developmental youth basketball club team serving central Austin’s 6/7/8th grade players. Our whole-game approach develops individual skills and game IQ in a positive environment that brings together players from communities across central Austin.
We combine a competitive club team with private training to provide a comprehensive learning experience.
Midtown works with local middle school players, practices in central Austin, and participates in area tournaments.
We coach our players to interact positively with coaches, referees, opponents, and their teammates.
Matt Armstrong founded Midtown Rulers in 2019 and has been coaching youth basketball for over 7 years
Robert Becker is an Advanced Placement teacher at Anderson High School. He played basketball at Beaumont West Brook High School, where he was selected to the all-district team.
Ian Stonebrook is a volunteer assistant for Midtown Rulers who has coached youth and middle school basketball over the course of the last decade. He works as a writer in the sports business space for Boardroom.
